On this day trip, you'll have the opportunity to visit West MacDonnell National Park – a diverse landscape home to rock formations, gorges and waterholes. After pickup, you'll travel to the park and begin with a scenic walk at Simpsons Gap, where you'll follow a riverbed to a natural rock amphitheatre. Next, you'll be able to take in Standley Chasm, where you'll pause for tea. A short path from here will lead to the Ochre Pits, a colourful rock wall sacred to the local Arrernte people.
Later, you'll stop for lunch at Ormiston Gorge before heading to a Mount Sonder lookout point. During the summer months, you'll also have the chance to go swimming at Ellery Creek Big Hole before the tour concludes.

A minimum number of participants is required for the tour to go ahead. If the tour is cancelled because the minimum number is not met, you will either be offered an alternative or full refund.
