Great art gallery and tour. Botannical gardens very pleasant to walk in and the prime ministers fascinating. Eureka centre is very impressive as is the Eureka trail. Sovreign Hill is worth visiting and I've heard the Sound and Light show is excellent although we didnt have time to attend.

Ballarat itself is great with many attractions, parks, cafes, bar’s & restaurants. Currently some works happening that hinders traffic flow & leads to congestion but that’s everywhere I guess.

This hotel is an absolute hidden gem. I cannot believe what a great hotel it is. For families, it would have to be one of the best hotels that I have seen and such good value. The family room was large with 4 beds. There was a sitting area and kitchenette. The facilities though are the best part of this property. There is a free of charge laundry with washing powder, a games room, indoor tennis court, gym, sauna and incredible indoor heated pool and spa. Absolutely fantastic for families.
Very comfortable, large renovated house with everything we needed for a short stay. The heating was easy to use and the gas fireplace a bonus. There are bedrooms and bathrooms in two separate areas separated by the lounge / dining so whilst there was just two of us it could suit two separate couples. There is a cafe nearby with good coffee and it's not far to walk to Ballarat's main shopping and dining areas.
Hotel Vera would have to be the best hotel I have stayed at. David and Martin were so accommodating, and we received a complimentary room upgrade. David gave us a tour of the rooms. This hotel is stunning and filled with beautiful paintings and sculptures. The rooms are absolute luxury. Incredible value for money. Would recommend to everyone. We can't wait to go back!
Spacious, clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but a handy location. Plenty of car parking. Grateful to get a room on the ground floor (rather than having to carry luggage upstairs). Lovely couple/family running the hotel. Not the cheapest option, but the rooms are large, there is off street parking, airconditioning and very close to the lake and a supermarket.
A really charming holiday house, beautifully redecorated in a glamorous style. Conveniently located a short walk from Ballarat CBD, with pubs, supermarket and the train station an easy walk away. Owners ensured a welcoming packet of timtams as a special treat!
Room was good sized for our family of four. Heating was on in the room when we arrived which was nice. Relatively clean and daily room service was provided which was handy. The kids loved the large bathtub. Good location to walk into the CBD.
great location, centrally located. This property is also a quick walk to Ballarat train station. comfortable bed and very clean. It’s sound proof so I slept so well, couldn’t hear any noise from other guests within the hotel.
Fantastic room for a family! The pub attached to the hotel is awesome! Kids loved eating both breakfast and dinner there (also with a playground)! Staff fantastic! Would highly recommend! Only a few mins from sovereign hill!
Great location, easy check-in process and well appointed room for a single night. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the ease of accessing central Ballarat sights and venues from the hotel.
Brilliant boutique hotel- So clean and comfortable. Gorgeous historic building renovated to the highest standard. I would not stay anywhere else in Ballarat! Can’t wait to go back some day.
Beautiful heritage property which has been restored and upgraded. Room was cosily warm - important in Ballarat! Free parking in the centre of town . Coffee shop & restaurant in the hotel.
The property is a roomy up market detached house. All the facilities needed are provided and the host is genuinely nice, lives up to the hype of always happy to help
