The Grampians National Park is excellent for walking and hiking at any time of the year. Halls Gap has a variety of accommodation types from camping to higher end. There are various places to eat, from usual so-so pub food to good quality food including vegan. We are at the Kookaburra which had excellent food (including vegetarian) served with delicious vegetables rather than chips and The Spirit of Punjabi which always serves excellent food (by robot now!). It also has a range of delicious vegan dishes. If you are into art and creativity check out Grampians Textures and Grampians Brushes - both are packed full of excellent workshops.

There are enough shops and bars for a short stay, and the location is excellent for exploring the trails in the area. The tourist information centre was helpful but wasn't quite up to speed with some trail closures which appear.tto have been made some time ago. Overall Halls Gap is a great place to stay for an adventure break.

    I love the Grampians.

I love the Grampians. Lots of lovely walks and scenery and Halls Gap has great restaurants. Unfortunately the cultural centre is closed and sone of the galleries in the areas were not open . But the wineries are worth a visit and certainly the Hall’s Gap pub. Excellent chef with great food and views .

Halls Gap Zoo was excellent - casual and all the keepers were very friendly, informative and helpful. The many local sights were amazing. Beware! Most businesses close early - not easy to find food after 6 pm! The boutique shopping area, although small, was excellent.

The swimming pool was awful. Looks like they never clean it. The staff were not friendly at all. Don't rely on the pictures. Please read others' reviews before you decide. Our overall experience was very bad.

Halls Gap is an amazing place, lots of outdoor activities, walking, riding climbing, waterfalls, wildlife etc. Halls Gap Zoo is one of the best Zoo's I have been to, they do a great job and have a good selection of animals, we fell in love with the 2 Donkeys. There are plenty of great places to eat, cafes, pubs and restaurants. We would highly reccomend a stay in Halls Gap but do your research when it comes to accommodation options, we have experienced great accommodation at times and not so great other times.

Gorgeous nature at your doorstep! Tranquil and quiet, the grounds were beautiful and relaxing, villa was lovely and relaxing with fantastic views! Absolutely lovely touch with the complimentary bottle of bubbly already chilled! Fresh bread and continetal breakfast assortment.. fireplace was warm, cosy and romantic. Looking forward to our next stay perhaps checking out another villa! Also, the sound of trickling water from the indoor stream was just amazing. Our favourite place to stay at halls gap.

Great location, wildlife at you door... almost. Really great sized cabins that contain all you need for a few days or even a weeks stay. The layout of the cabin is really good too, easy to find the bathroom in the middle of the night. Beds were good. Place was clean. Bring in food but Halls Gap has heaps of places to eat and a small supermarket so it's not remote in that sense.

The cabin was fantastic, They are very homely and it was a great weekend had by the whole family. It was great being able to have a BBQ dinner and there was plenty of room for the kids to get outside and play. The open fire was nice and the fact they brought you wood each day so we could have a fire each night was a nice touch. The kids also loved the spa bath.

Cottages are in a wonderful wild nature, among kangaroos and cacatoes and rabbits... in front of your windows ! Houses are made with old recycling materials and are very nice. All you need to stay with your family is there. Stay few days, you will be able to enjoy the paths in the Grampians park, Halls Gap, water falls, wineries... !

If you are looking for a luxury stay in the Grampians (Halls Gap) this is the place to stay. The location is perfect, both close to town but very secluded. Being fully equipped with kitchen and laundry facilities, you have the option of just staying put and looking after yourself for a few very relaxing days.

Loved our stay in the log cabins. We had a huge 2 bedroom cabin with all the facilities you could ask for. My wife loved getting in the swimming pool at the end of a hot day. Located a short drive from the centre of Halls Gap and all the Grampians have to offer. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The location of the cabins is spectacular - with mountain views everywhere. Kangaroos and Emus spent the mornings and evenings grazing just behind the property, which the kids loved. The cabins were spotless and well appointed. Jeff provided excellent and helpful advice. Would highly recommend.

It’s a budget hotel, if you want luxury don’t stay here, rooms were very clean, outside yard needs lots of work. Staff very friendly and helpful. Meal in Tavern downstairs was fine, nothing flash. Looks like they are gradually fixing up. It’s got lot of potential.

We stayed in the Blue Wren lodge, it was great. It is a one bedroom house with plenty of space for two, just 5 min walk to the middle of town. Kangaroos and ducks on the front doorstep. The best we have stayed in in Halls Gap.

The location was out of town but you could walk to the Halls Gap Hotel. Appears recently renovated but not quite finished? The open fire has been replaced with a gas replica which warmed the unit quickly.
