Its like the survivor series concept. Away from city life. Enjoyed the nature, sea, sand and sun. It is very calming. The staff are friendly and jovial. Thank you Fadzli and Jill(sorry guys if i spelled your names wrongly, and sorry to the rest as I did not catch your names). Met the owner, Hafiz, awesome guy. The place is so welcoming, even the cat named Tuxedo, rests on top of me while i was relaxing on the hammock. He makes me feel at home.

Situated amidst abundant greenery, Sepilok Nature Lodge - Formerly known as Sepilok Nature Resort is a haven for nature lovers. Fantastic resort, great location, excellent design, spacious rooms, helpful, polite and smiling staff, very good food. We much appreciated the setting in nature, being close to the rainforest. We were so lucky - after breakfast a mother orangutan with its baby sitting on a tree just beside the outside restaurant.....

Rooms clean and spacious. Swimming pool was very clean. The hotel beach and sea were lovely. Both pool and the sea were life guarded. Friendly and efficient staff. Secluded, picturesque place.

Boasting 6 dining options, an exclusive Chi, The Spa and an outdoor pool with water jets, Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Kota Kinabalu offers luxury beachfront accommodation in Tanjung Aru. such an amazing property and amazing staff - particularly Gloria at Coco Joe’s - she was incredible! my friend and I joked that this is the perfect romantic holiday. honestly everything about this place is incredible if you are seeking to put your phone down, catch up with a loved one, family or friends, and chill out. we climbed Mount Kinabalu in the middle of our stay and the hotel kindly looked after our baggage for us free of charge.

Timba Garden FREE TOWN AND JETTY TRANSPORT has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Semporna. This 5-star resort offers a shared kitchen, room service and free WiFi. Great little spot in a jungle neighborhood. Super friendly owners. We were hungry when we arrived and they were making chicken curry for their lunch, and added us to the preparations. Very unique location. I slept really well then off the next day for diving.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Kokol Haven Resort is situated in Kota Kinabalu, 15 km from Filipino Market Sabah and 11 km from Likas City Mosque. Breakfast is ok but the view in the environment is like in heaven 10/10

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We felt valued as guests and in particular staff such as Bata and Patrick went the extra mile to support our romantic dinner on the beach, where we got engaged. We plan on visiting again in the future! The food buffets were top notch and the pool, bar and spa had everything you need to kick back and relax. 10/10

Sepilok Forest Edge Resort is a nature retreat in Sandakan, a 15-minute walk from the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. We were quite skeptical when booking this hotel due to other reviews but man, we’re glad we did. From the beginning, the reception staff was so warm and kind. When checking in they showed us that there is a bat residing at our cottage and kindly asked us not to bother it which was great as in the middle of the jungle you are the guest. Then we headed to the restaurant where you are asked to leave your shoes outside which is giving the area a cozy and familiar vibe. Once in the restaurant, you are on a wooden deck surrounded by jungle, trees with birds & squirrels, frangipani trees and a scenic view and an even better feeling to be in such an amazing place. The food was the best I had in 2 weeks - a base of asian with touches of european, just perfect. The room was what I feared most as accomodations in the jungle is usually filled with bugs. But we had absolutely no problem - maybe a few ants in the bath but that’s it. We had mosquito spray in the room - sprayed the room before dinner just as a prevention and it was perfect. Bedsheets, bathroom, all clean. And the view from the balcony - priceless. Our cottage was not the newest but they are actively working on the construction so the place is just going to get better and better. Also, 800 m from the urangutan and sun bears centers - a lovely 10 minutes walk. We highly reccommend.
