The Loontitetermairrelehoiner Track is a wonderful walk around the coast from Waterloo Beach to Schouten Beach. The walk itself is not as long as the name suggests.
Very nice views of Great Oysters Bay, with backdrop of Freycinet Peninsula.
As usual in Tasmania, there is nearly no one to be seen on the main street of this town after about 7pm. It's refreshing.

From a tourist perspective Swansea was lacking.
From a tourist perspective Swansea was lacking. Not much choice of places to eat. The oyster bar was closed due to weather, we were unable to get to the patisserie as the bridge was closed due to flooding, the pub closed at 2 so cant have a late lunch which often happens as a tourist. the IGA was closed for some reason and there was a small express IGA that had your basic items. We had dinner at a small local cafe and it was very expensive for what it is $40 for a main. But we didn't have a choice as pub full and that was the only place in town open.

Beautiful stay, super cozy and best sleep I have had on the whole trip.
10/10 for charm & spa bath was amazing after all the walking done. Great pub 2second walk down the road, loved the experience
After a really really tough 18 months (being from Sydney, with COVID ruining everything for an extended period of time), our weary souls were desperate for a holiday and Swansea Beach Chalets provided everything we needed to refill our buckets. We loved the fire pits, the location, the proximity to cellar doors, the games room and the heated pool. We loved winding down and just thinking about nothing for a few days. We especially loved how obliging and friendly the hosts are. Thank you so much, the stay was exactly what we needed.
We enjoyed the old world charm the property had to offer as well as the dogs and especially the company with Neal (also Noel) reminiscing about the Aircraft industry. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. Swansea is a place we will go back to. Also enjoyed RSL and the meat raffle a great evening. It was conveniently located and Noel and Neal homemade pastries and their baked porridge was to die for. Unfortunately we couldn't eat all of what was on offer. Fantastic.
A great location with a short walk to the beach. Handy to the main town area of Swansea either a walk of 10 -15 mins or a short drive.
Very friendly staff who give helpful advice about the area and good food options.
Plenty of room within the bungalow and it was clean and supplied with everything we needed. Perhaps the only thing was that wifi was a little slow but since we were on holiday and out most of the time it was the end of the world.
Freycinet Waters provides everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The place had a lot of character. The location is superbly located in Swansea, and served as a central hub for my partner and I travelling to Coles Bay, Freycinet and south towards Triabunna. The hosts were really thoughtful and considerate. My partner and I had a wonderful time staying here.
Piermont Retreat is a great stay close to Swansea to explore Oyster Bay and up to Bicheno. Our cottage with open fire was great and very comfortable. The provisions supplied for the first self cooked breakfast was great. The restaurant was excellent and highly recommended. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
The location was fantastic with private access to the beach which was only a 3 minute walk. The house itself had everything you needed plus a huge book and DVD library, lots of play things for the kids and an outdoor shower for after being at the beach which was a brilliant idea.
So big! I couldn't believe the separate living room, kitchen and bedroom. They were able to accommodate our late check in and they had put so much thought into the cabin and even the decorations. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in Swansea.
Outstanding views from bedroom #2, out over the water. Breakfast was large portions and professionally done... top marks. Karen was happy to share her extensive knowledge of Tas. It really was like home away from home. Highly recommended.
The highlight of our Tasmanian holiday - so characteristic, so peaceful, so comfortable. Wonderful host. The bed was so comfortable. Slept with the window open and fell asleep to the sound of the river. Just a magical place.
The view is outstanding, stunning setting. the shower, the coffee machine, the bed. the chairs and table near the residence were a fantastic spot to sit and gaze and made up for the cabin not having a balcony
Paid for an upgrade to a two bedroom room which was wonderful. Right on the doorstep of the water and roomy with great facilities.
RSL at Swansea needs an honourable mention as a great place to have a meal.
Swansea Motor Inn Tasmania has rooms with water views which gives you a great view towards the national park. You also have heaps of available parking spots which is great.
A basic motor inn that has a convenient location near eateries, supermarket and overlooking the beach. Most of the guests looked like they were like us, just stopping over.
