Grand Palais Beachside Resort, hotel in Alexandra Headland

Grand Palais Beachside Resort overlooks the Alexandra Headland Beach, and is a short 98 feet from the patrolled area of Alex Beach.

The 3 bed apartment was very spacious, with amazing views of Alex beach all the way to Maroochydore. We could check the surf from the kitchen! The apartment was modern, had a lift and a really lovely heated pool that was actually warm. We loved the location, close to everything. We will be back.

Reception staff less than friendly, office often unattended during the already reduced open hours. No WIFI for 2 days, 1 text to advise outage, no further notifications, no updates and no follow up. Facilities are excellent, pools and spa amazing. Standard 3bd apartment level 2, garden view, small corner balcony Tired bathroom, shower is over small bath, terrible water pressure and hot water doesn't last long for a family. Ensuite was nice/updated. Beds are ok, pillows crap. Kitchen items and appliances are old and minimal and basic cutlery, mismatched dinner wear, cutting boards need to be thrown out. Cheap and very minimal bath/soap/cleaning products/toilet paper etc. Small basic bath towels, no pool towels Got a last minute deal and it was still too much. Definitely not Luxury Accommodation, but the location and facilities are great.

We had a view but it rained heavily the four days we stayed.

We had a view but it rained heavily the four days we stayed. The hotel had minimal replenishments of basic soap for showering limited toilet paper for four days. There was a horrible garbage smell when the windows and doors were opened. There was a window that was jammed and could not close. The toilet did not work properly when you flushed because the water in the cistern did not stop running obviously needed repairs. There was absolutely no services of any kind to issue new linen or bed making while staying during the days we stayed at the accommodation. The parking at unit 26 was cramped so that we had to reverse back out of the car space to get out the locked gate.

Alexandra Headland is beautiful it is a bit smaller than other places on the coast but is walking distance to both Mooloolaba and Maroochydore. Great walking paths, beautiful beaches and scenery. Great cafes and the surf club is friendly, good value and the food is great.

The beach was clean and patrolled by lifeguards. The sea was rough after a storm but perfect for surfers. A great lookout to watch them. Half way to great shopping and cafes at Mooloolaba, Cotton Tree and Maroochydore. We will stay in Alexandra Heads again.

A very nice place to visit.

A very nice place to visit. The beach, the surf club, the cafes and our accommodation were all perfect. We visited a different venue each day for breakfast or dinner and walked daily along the beach. An extremely family friendly place or just a place for a nice break way from the hustle and bustle of life. Easy to reach major shops if needed and lots of places to visit for day trips.

Fantastically located right on the beach at Alexandra Headland. Our room was well appointed with balcony overlooking the ocean. Well connected with smart TV and WiFi if a change to the ocean views was required! Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything needed to cook. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed due to ongoing works, however Management clearly communicated this and setup a bbq on the large balcony so we could still have bbq breakfasts watching the sun rise. We will certainly be back again.

The apartments were about a 10 minute walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. There was secure parking under the apartments. There is a lovely pool with an area to sit and eat and a bbq for everyone to use. The apartments were nicely furnished and very clean with private patio/balcony areas. Kevin and Noela were very nice, friendly and helpful. It was great to have a washer and dryer to use. My son and his family had an apartment with a hot tub and we all thoroughly enjoyed using it.

Rick and Susan were absolutely delightful. I stayed here to participate in my first Marathon in the sunshine coast. The Marathon startline was a 14min walk from the property. They made sure I was well fed at dinner time too. Which was very thoughtful of Susan. The place was very clean with all the required facilities. It was comfortable and nothing to fault really. And look at the views from the balcony! Will be coming back again.

Lovely quiet block of units. Great location just of main road entrance to Alexandra Headland. Loved the touches of some basic items like washing liquid for machine, a dryer(for those quick loads that need refreshing before hitting the road again), lovely pool, basic pantry items. Sea views! Fans in bedrooms a bonus without air conditioning - lovely sea breeze if don’t and rear doors open. Relaxed vibe for small family.

My entire family loved this property, it was a lovely big apartment, we could all stay together instead of getting two hotel rooms, it was extremely clean, everything worked. I wouldn’t definitely bring my family back here again. Your staff was very helpful when we had questions too and the reception area was lovely and comfortable. I like how it was very close to the beach.

Owners/managers were exceptional. We have been staying in beach units at the Sunshine Coast for nearly 40 years on and off and have never had the owners/managers greet us with such enthusiasm, take us to the unit, show us the facilities, and write a personal email to us after our stay! Exceptional service.
