Excellent communications before and during the trip. The house itself is magnificent, and the location great. We wished we were there for longer.

Tanunda is a lovely little town with a good selection of restaurants and shops. It has character and the locals were friendly. It has a cycle trail running through it which is good for walking and cycling. Bikes can be hired locally. Getting around was easy, we walked to dinner and took a taxi to lunch outside town at Hentley Farm.

Tanunda’s a lovely place to visit and the perfect base for winery visits. Plenty of good eateries and choice of wine cellars in Tanunda itself. Ferment Asian restaurant is lovely and the Angus burger at Char Grill was cooked to perfection. Z wines does great tropical sangria jugs. Nosh cafe is a quirky place and a bit like a tardis with very friendly staff. Krondoff cellar staff very friendly and good wine choice. Visitor centre very helpful and definitely worth visiting to check out what is on in the area.

A nice town catering for travellers to the Barossa Valley.
A nice town catering for travellers to the Barossa Valley. A typical tourist town providing accommodation and many restaurants (some of dubious quality such as Char Barossa which is to be avoided at all costs), but a pleasant place to stay all the same. Very central to many of the wineries in the region.

Perfect base to visit the many wineries around Barossa.
Perfect base to visit the many wineries around Barossa. There is an abundance of great cafes and restaurants with 1918 and Bar Musque on the top of our list for dinner and Blackbird have incredible breakfasts. Everyone from the cafes to Foodland supermarket were so friendly and the passion they have for the Barossa, vineyards, local produce and history of the area is amazing. All cellar doors were exceptional with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bethany and Rockfords were outstanding. A visit to Maggie Beers Farm shop and the Chocolate Factory is also recommended and very enjoyable to relax and appreciate the surrounds. Easy cycling around Tanunda to enjoy the scenery at closer range was a lot of fun. Wonderful location with plenty more on offer than noted above.

Tanunda and Angaston are both beautiful towns.
Tanunda and Angaston are both beautiful towns. Good food, good wine and beautiful scenery. Strongly suggest Casa Caboni for a great authentic Italian meal. The Clubhouse accomodation was very modern, spacious and a guaranteed great night's sleep. Good dining facilities available for lunch and dinner. Breakfast isn't available but there are plenty of cafe options close by. Wineries are also great. Gibson and Willow are well worth a look (and taste). Best of all you don't have to buy a flight. You can drink what you like! 10/10
There is much to like about JCR starting with the location. it’s quiet, the setting is lovely, and it’s picturesque. The bath tubs are huge and perfect for a couple. The proprietor is very accommodating with suggestions and any help needed. The TVs accept Chromecast and internet appears to be Starlink so it’s easy to watch any streaming show or movie you choose instead of network TV most hotels offer. Dishes provided were very helpful and nice quality.
Barossa House was a lovely place to stay near Tanunda. The house is old of course, but nicely decorated, and the host was lovely and very hospitable. She went out of her way to make us a lovely breakfast to meet our special requirements. The garden is lovely (as are the cats) and we watched a spectacular sunset over the vieyards across the road. We had a wonderful stay at Barossa House.
location, lovely garden, so clean, everything I needed. good wifi, the TV’s were excellent quality and there was internet access to Netflix and YouTube if wanted. Short walk to good restaurants, cafes, supermarket and chemist. Right off Main Street in Tanunda. Beds were very comfortable, good entertaining areas. wine and chocolate and vouchers for discount at local eatery provided.
Barossa House is perfectly located in the center of the valley. You can walk to several wineries and plenty of restaurants are just a couple of minutes away. Sophia is an incredible host. Every recommendation she made was outstanding. Her breakfasts are delicious and are a lovely way to start the day. Our room was extremely comfortable and spacious. We can’t wait to go back.
The provisions for breakfast were wonderful. We had plenty for our needs but thought it was a nice touch that we only had to contact Tina if we wanted more.
The location was awesome, close to wineries and the Township of Tanunda. The lake setting was absolutely beautiful. I told my husband it reminded of the lake in The Notebook movie. Just beautiful and so relaxing.
Perfect location in Tanunda, easy walking distance to main shopping area, spectacular view of the hills, lots of room to move, great facilities, including fire pit to sit and admire the views with a nice glass of bubbles, while enjoying a BBQ. Attention to detail. House has all kitchen requirements and more. Would recommend staying at Barossa Idyll.
The property was really well located, easy walking distance to Tanunda shops and restaurants. It was comfortable and there were some nice touches. I appreciated that the owners were committed to be environmentally conscious and it was great to have fresh bread, eggs, milk and muesli for use.
A lovely little studio with an outdoor courtyard to enjoy on sunny days. Close enough to the center of Tanunda to walk to cellar doors and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and the space was bright and clean. Lots of delicious goodies and a bottle of wine provided by the hosts.
Gorgeous cottages. Loved the bottlebrush in full bloom and popping next door to enjoy a wine tasting at The Underground. The staff at the cellar are related to the family and took special care of us as we sampled wines in their underground cellar. Only a short walk into town.
It was a fantastic location and the cottage has everything you would possibly need for a fantastic stay in the Barossa. From the open fires, to the welcome cheese platter - everything was catered for and brunch and restaurants only a short stroll away. Highly recommended!
Everything, although not modern it was a very spacious comfortable accomodation. We loved all the special little things like oil, s&p and Tim tam biscuits, band aids, cotton buds etc. Lovely linen and washing machine. Location is great 100 metres from Chateau Tanunda.
Fantastic in all respects! Very clean, self contained units with a front and back outdoor seating area. Washing machine, clothes line outside. Great shower pressure, lots of hot water and very quiet. A 10 minute walk to the CBD. Highly recommend this place.
Everything was amazing and exceeded our expectations which only made us love the Barossa even more!! Para House is very spacious with multiple living areas and a big back yard and so was perfect for our family of 3 generations on holidays together.
A well-appointed, comfortable house in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. A peaceful back garden; lots of roses in bloom, heritage rooms, and decent breakfast supplies (plus port and chocolates for the evening).
Everything, rooms modern, clean filled with light and and comfortable furniture, great restaurant and bar, one of the best regional
