The room was well decorated, if a little tired in places. The bed was very comfortable and roomy. The inclusive breakfast choice was very comprehensive and the quality was reasonable. The higher cost of a hotel that's so central is to be expected. Parking opposite the hotel was easy.

We were there for a weekend as we were going to see a show. I was very impressed with the town centre which had a good mix of the usual high street shops and independent outlets.
It had a great atmosphere and I would definitely return

Cheltenham is in a beautiful part of the country, so in fairness we spent little time in the town, however there were plenty of restrants, coffee bars and individual shops, we were very fortunate with the weather and spent a lovely afternoon in the central park which had plenty of facilities for all ages.

Cheltenham is a lovley town. I am bias as I grew up here. Of course I did not appreciated it as a child but going back is always a pleasure. The prom, Montpelier, Pitville park to stroll and feed the ducks (also an amazing playground for children now) Great shops, restaurants and ambiance. Alway check out what’s in at the Everyman theatre & or Town hall.

Lots to do in and around Cheltenham. We visited Bourton on the Water and would have liked to have seen more in that area. Seems lots to do in Cheltenham in the evenings and some nice boutique type shops. Definitely visit again for a little longer.

My partner and I really enjoyed Cheltenham, we went out to the town hall for a great Motown night, then we had drinks in a local bar that was full of very friendly people of all ages groups. Our accommodation for the night was great in every way, the staff was very welcoming and it's a perfect location for easy access to the town center. We will definitely return in the future and we would fully recommend it.
So close to the Cheltenham train, and city center, and local pubs. Such a pleasant area with public transportation. The most wonderful thing was the steam punk, Georgian decor vibe in the beautiful room and hotel. Loved reception with spa water, cookies, and gin and pantry with supplies to purchase. Room and bath was not only luxurious, but large and comfortable with long windows and double sinks, bottled water and well stocked coffee and tea supplies. I wanted to stay another night simply because the room and location were so wonderful.
Great location - easy access to Cheltenham town centre by bus or car. The bedrooms were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated, with a very smart en-suite. A bar fridge, hairdryer and plenty of white fluffy towels were appreciated and the bed was really comfortable.
Despite being located on a busy road, the windows are double glazed, so there is no disturbance from traffic.
Creative arrangement for people to order take-out food and consume it in the communal sitting/ dining area.
The location of the apartment was brilliant, no more than a 5 minute walk to the town centre which has a vast array of options for food and drink as well as big named stores and some more boutique-like options. The apartment was very clean and everything we needed was provided, the toilet is very close to the door so you kind of had to shuffle around but no major inconvenience plus the shower was spacious, hot and powerful enough to leave you feeling clean.
Beautiful Georgian building set in Clarence Square which is on the edge of Cheltenham Centre. Considering the current situation the restaurants and pubs were very welcoming and warm. The Hotel was being renovated as had been bought by the current owners at the beginning of the pandemic but sufficient rooms had been made ready to open. The owner was very helpful and engaging and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and return
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are stunning. So many areas downstairs to have a drink and enjoy good music. If you want to sit outside or prefer a more speak easy vibe in the downstairs lounge you have plenty of options! The restaurant is also beautiful and the food was great. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Cheltenham which is a beautiful town. Loved the entire experience and will definitely be back!
Well decorated, quirky and very clean apartment with parking close to town centre. Attention to detail including all that is needed for a self catering stay. Huge comfortable beds, spacious rooms and great shower. Helpful and informative with swift response to any queries.
Perfect base to explore Cheltenham and the surrounding area.
Great location in the town centre. Parking available under the hotel (£8.00). Spaces are a little tight and limited though. We were given an accessible double room which was massive and very well equipped and of a high standard. Tremendous value for money. We will stay again when next in the area.
This lovely hotel is perfectly located for Cheltenham city centre. It has retained its Regency character but is still comfortable. It was great having a fee car park for the duration of our stay. The breakfasts were brilliant and it was nice to have a bar and lounge too.
Our room was very comfortable, the decor beautiful and the bathroom was exceptional, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel is in a central location, perfect for exploring Cheltenham town centre on foot and the surrounding area by car.
Great location for Cheltenham town centre and the racecourse. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean and the cooked breakfast was good. Communication with the owners post-booking/pre-arrival was prompt and courteous.
The George was in a great location for visiting our grandson and close to city centre. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The hotel is probably best for a short stay as storage space was limited. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Super cute room, very comfortable, and not too far from city centre. The hostess was so kind and helpful during our one night stay. Even with the shared bathroom, it was a great property for what we paid.
if you need accommodation in Cheltenham that is not a hotel and is within walking distance to the town centre then this is the place to be. Can’t fault it, everything was great, no complaints at all.
Location is good, not far from city centre and Royal Well bus station.
Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Host was really nice. Breakfast was also good.
