The setting was beautiful. The view was so picturesque and we loved how tranquil the place was. It was lovely to only hear the birds. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. One criticism is on checkout the reception staff didn’t ask us if we enjoyed our stay or how everything was, I would have expected some interaction. They simply just took our payment and put labels on our suitcases which I personally felt didn’t reflect well on the property or customer service.

Great location and characterful property with views across the Tuscan hills. The owner, Benedetta, is a great host, too. She couldn’t do enough to make our stay in San Casciano a pleasant one. Will return again one day.

Everything about this property was wonderful… my husband and I didn’t want to leave! The view from our exceptionally clean and spacious room was out of this world… the staff were amazing and the wine tour was excellent. We will be back and will be bringing our parents next time as they were very jealous during the face time call !

Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas.
Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas. The Staff was outstanding with smiles and open arms for any assistance we needed. Cooking class was fun, learning many new things none of us had known with our delightful chef who was patient and knowledgeable. Dinner at the restaurant was full of wonderful foods. The perfect place to explore wineries and take it down a few notches to relax and unwind.

I would imagine that, like me, most people go there to visit the famous Antinori wine estate, one of the most spectacular & lavish wine estates for visitors in Europe, and one of the few that are comparable with what you would find in California, South Africa or South America. There's not a great deal else here that I am aware of - it's basically a few small villages. Good location for visiting other neighbouring parts of Chianti though. And, as noted in my review elsewhere of the Albergo Bargino, its attached fish restaurant, the Trattoria del Pesce, is worth a visit in itself.

This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking.
This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking. In the middle of everywhere yet close to Florence making your return to the airport very convenient. The area is surrounded by wineries, restaurants, pizzerias and gelato shops making the panorama painteresque and unique to the area. Perfect starting point for biking too. Must visit.

The location of the town was perfect for us, as we came to have our own wine tour.
We had about a 30-40 minutes drive (tops) to each of our pins on the wine map we planned!
There are vineyards all around :)

The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere.
The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere. Did some of our own cooking, but also ate out.
A bus trip to Florence was worth doing.
Driving to villages/places worked well. Castellina, Radda and Volpaia our favourites.
Driving could be a little difficult on the narrow roads (for two cars to stay on the bitumen)... and buses.
We were given a bottle of wine from our winery stay, and saw the beginning of the grape harvest.

This is the most fantastic property a short drive to Florence. The family running the business in their historic family home are friendly, helpful and lovely people to talk with. The breakfasts are just incredible, some of the best food that we have eaten in Italy and many items that I will think about for a long time. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't yet open when we visited as this is high season only but I will be returning just for the chance to eat dinner cooked by Lorenzo the chef. A truly wonderful stay, we will visit again
Great hotel, but there was no air conditioner in the room. Given we travel from the usa and are used to ac, this was a bit of a negative since it gets hot. However, they have a fan which helps. Also, the breakfast is light a toast with jam and a croisant, nothing special. Overall is a nice place. Also, keep in mind this is not a winery. When we booked we thought we would stay at a winery and have wine tasting but this is just a bed and breakfast with nice views and a small pool. Good for quite time.
We had a wonderful time at the Villa. The location is perfect for exploring the hill towns nearby. The hotel recommended a great winery for tasting. We had been to many others previously, but this one was unique with a cheese tasting as well. The dinners at the hotel were wonderful and the staff at dinner, particularly Massimo, was excellent.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, serene and relaxing. Gorgeous area. We loved it.
Amazing Villa in Tuscany. Close to Florence and San Gimignano. Unbelievably comfortable bed, extremely hospitable and kind stuff (Illenia, cook, and Don Francisco), organic home made fresh breakfast, complimentary wine and water. I don’t have enough words to express magnificent relaxation that we experienced there. Highly recommended!!!!
Super friendly and always helpful! Great dinner at place. Great location to chill out, but enough going on for the children (donkeys and a sheep, play area etc). Organic wine at place is worth trying. Overall it's a real agricultura (Vs some others which are more hotels) and it's very charming.
The stay at the farm was perfect in every way, the location, as it was close to Florence, tasty home-made breakfast, the Tuscan vibe and our hostess Gulia was so welcoming and helpful that it made our time in this unique part of the world unforgettable. I would gladly stay in Il Pintello again.
Incredible. We loved this property. It's beautiful, in a great location and the staff is exceptional. Great location for exploring Tuscany and easy day trips to Florence.
Highly recommend the castle tour and wine tasting with Ms. Jillian, it was a highlight of our stay.
The host is very friendly. He gives you tips on the best restaurants in the area. Also he gives you advice on the easiest way to get into the centre of Florence. The whole place is very clean and very well maintained. The views are incredible. Highly Recommended!
Clean and well decorated apartment! Lovely host who greeted us upon arrival. Comfortable bed. Good shower and hair dryer. Sufficient sockets to charge mobiles. Close to Florence and lovely towns. Free city parking 10’ away.
Epitome of hospitality. This is a family opening up their home. The charm and the attention to detail is unmatched. Close proximity to an authentic Tuscan village, 3min walk to great restaurants and a buzzing town center.
Everything was great! Very beautiful hotel territory and surroundings. A spacious room with an excellent bathroom. Friendly staff. Lots of activity options. Great breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view!
Beautiful B&B just outside San Casciano in Val di Pesa and 30 minutes away from Florence.
The rooms were clean and well decorated, the owners very friendly and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay!
This property is beautiful! Benedetta is a wonderful host and very kind! There are many amazing restaurants within walking distance. (I highly suggest walking the 10 minutes instead of driving)
The site is breathtaking, the hotel is wonderful with extraordinary staff. eg Giulia and Mirella from front desk, Ana from morning restaurant. the Quality of the restaurant is excellent
Wonderful place set in the beautiful hills of Tuscany. Ilenia made us feel very welcome and ensured we had a great stay celebrating our parents 45th wedding anniversary.
Good location- 30 min by car to Florence. The property landscaping is very nice (nice olive trees, rosemary, etc) on a vast property. Parking is available on site.
Fantastic location and facilities. Nice room, quiet and very “off the beaten path”. The views are spectacular and the short ride to Florence was beautiful.
