The entrance is much nicer than the photos suggest so gives a good elegant impression. It's not a bland hotel interior.
Room good - light colours and it was next to the internal court yard so it was quiet at night.
Bed firm (in a good way) which made for a great sleep. A single bed so not a massive room but I was a solo traveller for one night and the bathroom was a good size.
Thankfully the old style bed spread seen in the photos was not on my bed. This is much more modern (and frankly much cleaner because who knows who has sat naked or worse on them as I can't imagine they would be dry cleaned every time.
Breakfast good - I wasn't hungry for hours. Scrambled eggs tasted particulary good to me.
Location - if you are able bodied, it's just a enjoyable 10 min walk from station (close for shuttle when arrive.) The bridge to the other side where the Tower is located is pretty close too. I prefered being away from the touristy bit to get away from crowds - and there were nice restaurants near by if you walk around close by.

The Leaning Tower, Cathedral, the Wall, Battistero, Camposanto are all worthy of more than one day.
Also, the city has a lot more to be seen, along Arno and the many Piazza's with a plethora of restaurants and charming streets.

The trip to the Tower was excellent once we got in. Unfortunately the booking came through late though - made through Viator via Booking.com. So take care if doing this. I would go direct to the main website another time. Pisa itself was fairly quiet - went in April. Very pleasant.

Pisa is an interesting city in itself, besides being a good centre for visiting Lucca and probably Florence (avoid much of the crowds!). It is flat, as is Lucca, so good for those who want to go to Italy but find climbing up and down hills hard work (Siena/Perugia). You need good shoes to walk around Italian cities because the paving is authenticallly rough and uneven.
I would certainly invest in a good map of the city, rehterht an the one provided generously by the Tourist Office.

I visited Pisa as an add on to 3 days in Florence as my flight landed in Pisa from Luton. I therefore booked to stay for a 2 night stay which only really gave me one full day in Pisa.
This was just right for the leaning Tower and the buildings of the Miracoli Square including 2 museums, the Bapistry, the Duomo and the compasanto. The Duomo is stunning and the hilight but the leaning tower is a memerising sight. I managed to spend a good 5 hours there including lunch on the terrace at the museum and a timed climb up the tower booked for later in the day. (you have to book a timed slot to climb)
With hindsight i did regret not having at least one more full day in Pisa as i would have liked to have seen the rest of the city including the Botanical Gardens which was shut during my visit.
Please be aware that it gets busy so it may be worth booking the leaning tower climb online before you go.

To be honest, there is not a huge amount to view in Pisa as a tourist. Compared to Florence and Siena it feels more like a 'proper' town rather than a tourist-trap. That's not to say it isn't worth a visit; it is! The Leaning Tower is so famous it is a must-see if you are in the area. The Duomo and associated attractions are also very special for their architecture and are worth a view (in my opinion). Pisa airport is close to the city and cheaper to fly in to from London (and less busy) than flying to other Tuscan destinations, so I recommend it.
The train from the airport to the city is easy and costs about €7 but if you are more than one person take a taxi, which should work out cheaper! Also, we booked a train ticket from Pisa to Florence in advance... big mistake. There was no need to book and buying local was simple and cheap; just €8 per person. It takes an hour on the train (if you chose carefully) and if you think that the Airport to Pisa train takes 5 minutes and costs a similar amount, then one of them is good value and one isn't! I'll let you work out, which-is-which :-)
We stayed in a small hotel (Amalfitana) close to the attractions which was adequate, not great, but had a brilliant restaurant attached named "La Corte di San Leonardo"... we loved the food here so try it out, even if you do not stay at the hotel.
Don't stay too long... unless you use Pisa as a base to travel out to other towns, there's not much to do.
I drove in from Genoa, it was easy to find, very straightforward drive in unlike many places we e been.
Elio was super helpful. Explained where to go and how to get there with map. It’s 10/15 minute walk from Leaning tower.
The room was very nice and the bathroom was the best we have experienced in Italy this holiday (6 different hotels)
There were cold drinks in a fridge available to purchase at any time.
Pisa is great - even better than I experienced
Autenthic Italy city center accommodation experience, 10 min walking from Pisa Centrale, 25 min walking from Airport.
I would summarize by saying that we felt just like home.
Exceptionally clean, one of the most comfortable beds. The breakfast ia very rich, freshly prepared and diversified by choice. The provolone cheese is something to remember. Flavia is a wonderful host, pleasant to talk with, very careful and we thank her for everything.
All the staff (family??) were exceedingly attentive. The property is well located for the station, tower and airport (by taxi).
The room was well furnished with traditional Italian furniture. A very good (optional) cold breakfast spread, which, for us, was 12 euro extra each per day.
We had spent around 2 weeks travelling round Italy using 6 hotels - this was the best hotel we stayed in.
Pisa Happy House is the best ever place we ever stayed in, and Gianpiero is the nicest and kindest host . we arrived late and he left for us wine, cake and packed fridge with a lot of food, more then we expected.
The apartment is very spacious and stunning, much better then in the pictures, very clean, walking distance to airport, train station and city centre.
Location was excellent allowing us to come & go directly to Pisa Tower complex. Lots of eateries nearby. Supermarket walking distance. Taxi out front & bus stop over the road.
Tastefully decorated room with very comfortable bed.
Nice garden area to relax out back.
Staff are amazingly helpful & kind.
A real gem, and one of the best of all our stays in Italy.
Very close to airport and the was ok to stay one night. It was clean enough and warm especially during winter time 2022 regarding to cost reduction most of the hotels, B&Bs in Italy do not open the heaters after 9 pm but this room was quite warm. on the other hand by 20 mins walking you can reach the popular shopping streets or POIs.
This was everything I was looking for in a hotel for my stay in Pisa. It's clean, comfortable, practical, no need for overly fancy decorations. Extremely well located, walking distance from everywhere I wanted to go especially the tower complex. The woman at the front desk was very warm, friendly and accommodating.
Super convenient little hotel at Pisa Centrale Railway Station, especially if you have an early flight from Pisa Airport. Very clean and safe in a slightly dodgy, lively area. It's a very short walk to the station to get the Pisa mover train to the airport, also close to bars, restaurants and the city centre.
The hotel is literally around the corner from the Leaning tower and about 20 minutes walk from the Pisa Central railway station.
The rooms were big had the building had a semi-Tuscan style to it. We were pleasantly surprised that there is also a community kitchen in the building for use of the hotel guests.
Hotel exceeded my expectations. Staff were brilliant and so helpful, hotel was around 15 minute walk from the leaning tower and about 20 minutes to Pisa Central train station. Good variety at breakfast, rooms were clean and cleaned everyday. Cannot fault the hotel at all
Location: very close to airport and to the city exit to the main highways, although not places to eat aroynd hotel. Room: very clean, with modern appliances and confortable. Staff: very nice and healpful. I will definively come back if in transit in Pisa.
The staff of this hotel is very humble and hospitable in nature. They offered us breakfast at no cost, printed map to navigate as our data signals were poor. The hotel location is pretty close to restaurants and Pisa tower.
The breakfast was great. It was way better than what we had at 4 star hotels in Italy, lots of variety and everything we had was delicious. The room was comfy, and also the bed. Plus the staff was really friendly.
A real hotel with spacious room and adequate furnishings. Spotlessly clean, attention given to detail. The staff are kind and helpful. Location is walking distance to the Pisa Tower, Airport and Train Station.
The staff was very thoughtful, the hotel has an amazing location, really close to the pisa tower and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the billing of the hotel is very beautiful.
