Escape room at Confinement. Amazing walk around Hamilton Gardens - definitely worth a visit. Tamahere is a beautiful suburb with a great dessert bar - PoppyPeach.
Close for a drive out to Raglan and Bridal Veil Falls. Close enough to Rotorua too.

Every time we stop by we are always surprised by how much Hamilton has to offer. We really enjoyed the main streets along the river on the West and East banks, around the Waikato museum and the theatre currently under construction. Go visit Made on the East bank, great for food and local produce in a beautifully designed settings.

We like the room, easy to access with no worries about the key. Wifi was working, easy parking as well.
But no spoons only teaspoons and only two toilet rolls.
3 of us with 3 cups, 3 plates, 3 glasses, 3 sachet of coffee, tea and sugar. It was unusual to see that. Maybe we missed something that we were not prepared for.
Thank you, apart from that it was great to get out and about with the purpose of our visit.

Trying to find the places that we had to go to was interesting as we kept getting lost. I don't think Hamilton is very easy to get around. Went to the Hamilton Zoo really enjoyed it. We ate most of our meals at the Hamilton Workingmens Club which was very nice a great menu.

I didn't feel very safe. A lot of social housing tenants.
I didn't feel very safe. A lot of social housing tenants. Went for a walk and had to negotiate lots and lots of discarded supermarket trolleys just disbanded in the street . Such a pity for what could be a beautiful destination.
Hamilton Gardens. The purpose for the trip exceptional. Well worth the drive down from Auckland.

We went specifically to visit the Gardens.
We went specifically to visit the Gardens. These are so magnificent I would hate to think people could miss them. Having been told it would take us many hours, we were surprised that we were through leisurely in about 2 1/2 hours. We were lucky enough to be there for Balloons over Hamilton - great spectacle, and 2 perfect days!!
I love how everything was clean. I love the big cotton towels, the big comfortable bed, the big sky tv, and how easy it was to access the lift right by the entrance and be up in my room in a flash. The staff were kind and helpful. The buffet breakfast was yummy and the layout of the restaurant was spacious and friendly, overlooking the calm waters of the Waikato River.
It was my first time to stay in an Ibis Hotel. Whenever I visited Hamilton I always stayed at Novatel but this one was better in my opinion.
Nice buffet breakfast, all shared spaces were decorated with photos of New Zealand scenery, clean and tidy, coin operated laundry for longer stays. Rooms were basic, very clean and beds were comfy. Really nice shampoo/conditioner :) Very central to Hamilton City. We walked every where we needed to go on this particular stay. Nice cafes and eateries close by. Two supermarkets within walking distance (convenient) Very friendly staff at the front desk and cleaning staff always said hello were lovely
Everything. From Room Service ect to even asking if they could leave the Laundry Room open longer, My Family enjoyed it 100 Percent recommended but if your Picky or think your the King or Queen of England then Unlucky uce haha shout out too the Whole team at Heartland Am Hotel Hamilton doing there best to provide stayers with the Goods 🫡🙏
This is the cleanest place I've ever stayed at, I never walk on hotel carpets in bare feet but I had no issue doing it at this place, great facilities, comfortable bed, great shower, all round fabulous place to stay. The manager was lovely went above and beyond to be helpful.
Can't recommend this place high enough
We had an excellent experience even before we got to the hotel. The staff handling reservations were exceptional, the rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly, and the breakfast was top-notch. It will be our stay when we travel to Hamilton again.
excellent range of services including valet parking, staff lovely, bar and restaurant staff also very pleasant and efficient. lovely breakfast. great location in central Hamilton. Rooms well laid out, very clean, well maintained.
The continental breakfast and home made thai curry were very cheaply priced. Afternoon snack and chat also very pleasant.
The BnB is very close ( a few blocks) to the wonderful Hamilton Gardens.
Quiet. Clean.
Great place to stay, had car parks at the hotel which helped as hamilton is all paid parking and busy. Central location good variety of places to eat. Cafe next door was great.
Will book again
Really like the look and feel of the building. Staff very warm and helpful. Location very convenient - halfway between Hamilton and Cambridge. Great selection for continental breakfast.
The best accommodation we found in Hamilton. We will be back next time. Super clean, very comfortable and large room, the actual room is better than the photos.
The location was good, we would have changed accommodation after check-in if there had been other places to stay, but it was a busy weekend in Hamilton
