The guesthouse is located in a secluded valley within Huon with panoramic views of Grey mountain, part of Snug Tiers. It is 8 kms from Cygnet, historic town and 15 mins drive from Bruny Island Ferry. Built for sustainable living using passive solar design and strawbale infill along with local timbers such as Celery Top pine. It is a magical space where peace and tranquillity is enjoyed but with the comforts of modern living. We have Skylink for reliable Wifi and Telstra mobile coverage.

I am retired RN and midwife and also am a trained printmaker and ceramic artist in the process of starting up my art studio. Longterm I aim to set my property up as a sculpture park with a walking track around Nicholls rivulet that borders my property for 500 metres and then joins other areas of the property. I love meeting new people and love accommodating guests and see them have a great time. l love seeing the children play in garden and with the many toys available. I endeavour to meet and greet you on your arrival if you wish otherwise offer contactless checking in. I respect guests privacy at all times. There is a instruction guide for guests on arrival but I will show you around if you are happy for this. Otherwise there is a key code box for times no one is available. I also have wonderful neighbours who are available to assist at any time. I live on the property and I am available for solving any issues. There is mobile phone coverage for Telstra service and reliable wifi with a Smart TV with streaming of Stan, Netflicks, Disney + etc. Includes DVD'S,books,games and plenty of toys to keep children happy as well as outside play equipment.

The property is 35 minutes from Hobart and central to Tasmania's South tourist attractions. 8 kms from the historic town of Cygnet with its many unique attractions of local activities such as shops selling local produce and arts/crafts in boutique shops. Tasmanian bands and singers perform regularly at the yearly folk festival as well at eating venues around the Huon. Local sights include trip to Bruny Island, driving to Hastings cave, walking through Tuhune air walk. There are many beautiful walks, local sailing, swimming or walking along the many coastal beaches and much more.
