Set in Olot, 47 km from Dalí Museum, Hotel Olot Centre offers accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. the bedroom was amazing. all was super clean. bathroom was modern and renovated. I even took photos of it for future renovation ideas. hot water came out instantly. the bed was very comfortable and best of all so were the pillows. the staff was very friendly, helpful, and pleasing.

Mas Pere Pau is located in the natural setting of Bruguers, in Besalú, 5 minutes' drive from the city centre. It offers well-equipped apartments, studios and rooms with mountain and garden views. Lovely room for a family of 3 with a doggie who was able to run around the garden area of this beautifully restored Catalan Masia - he absolutely loved it. The staff were fantastic - our room was cleaned and tidied every day, towels were hung up to dry on a rack and a dog bed was provided for our puppy which we didn't even ask for. We were supplied with a large fresh bottle of water every day and, although the restaurant wasn't open during the days we were staying there (it only opens on Friday and Saturday in the Winter), they offer a lovely menu to guests which changes daily and you can order your evening meal by midday that day. The food was also great - traditional Catalan meals - comforting hearty food (although could do with some extra veggies). We really enjoyed our stay - thank you.

Casa Marcial (adults only) is located in the beautiful town of Besalú, just 100 metres from the mediaeval bridge. This property offers a garden with an outdoor pool and great views. The lady at the reception desk was just the most lovely and polite receptionist ever. The room was quite large and beautiful . Thru our room windows we viewed the garden and a lovely old church.

Set in Sant Aniol de Finestras, 27 km from Girona Train station, ECOTurisme Can Buch HOTEL offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This was the highlight of our trip. The hotel, the staff, the peaceful surroundings, the farm animals, the hiking, the pool, the food. Everything was spectacular, we did not want to leave.

Located in La Vall de Bianya, 40 km from Girona, Hotel Mas la Ferreria boasts an outdoor pool and views of the mountain. Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Set in the Alta Garrotxa countryside, 20 km from Olot, Can Pei is a farm stay with an outdoor pool and bar. This rustic-style stone property has cosy rooms with mountain views. The stay was for my birthday and it was perfect. I wanted nature, quiet and animals, and I got all of that. The masia is beautifully restored keeping its original charm, there are 2 dogs and a cat that are super friendly and Montse is a attentive and welcoming host. We had dinner prepared every evening, with fresh ingredients and a lovely breakfast every morning to give us energy for the day. Montse will explain all the hiking routes and key attractions. Definitely coming back with the first chance we get!

Offering a quiet setting in Maià de Montcal, La Fustana features spacious rooms with terraces. It is housed in a modern building, constructed from recycled materials and wood from local forests. A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Located in the heart of medieval Besalú, 1-minute walk from Plaça de Sant Pere, Hotel 3 Arcs offers modern rooms with a satellite TV. The communication, location, simplicity and overall experience. Cozy common area to have breakfast with a fridge to store some items. Noelia was extremely attentive to help, provide suggestions and quick with her response time.
