Situated in Nelson City Centre, The Hotel Nelson is a 4-star Qualmark rated property within walking distance of Nelson Saturday Market, and the main business, shopping and entertainment precinct. The receptionist kindly allowed us to use a downstairs suite when I was reluctant to take the upstairs unit designated to us. We are elderly and not as agile as we were.

Tides Hotel is located on the banks of Maitai River, in the centre of Nelson. It features a restaurant, a heated outdoor pool and free WiFi access. On-site parking is available. Room was good size and great location

Just a short walk away from Tahunanui Beach, The Beachcomber Hotel & Conference Centre offers free Wi-Fi and a solar-heated swimming pool. Nelson Airport is 3 km away. It was a great friendly place a great park across the field for kids There are a few different places to eat close by to.

Located in Nelson and with Tahunanui Beach reachable within 2.4 km, U Boutique on Haven provides express check-in and check-out, rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a garden.... The location was great for accessing the city and further afield. Parking is easy. The room was cozy and warm and I really loved having the shared lounge and kitchen to use. The door code system was easy to use and felt very safe.

Overlooking the Waimea Inlet, The Grand Arden Monaco Nelson is an English-style resort featuring 23 rooms as well as ample free parking and free WiFi. Good location, but not in Nelson (the location is actually Stoke). The restaurant next door at the Honest Lawyer was great, and our dinner at the Brick Eatery was terrific.

Delorenzo Studio Apartments offers a heated outdoor pool, on-site parking and free Wi-Fi access. Studios come with a kitchenette, laundry facilities and a private bathroom. Of all the places we have stayed on our road trip of the South island this was by far the most value for money. Very classy. Thank you
